S.T.R.E.A.M Infused
S.T.R.E.A.M STANDS FOR SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY READING-WRITING ENGINEERING ARTS MATH
this integration supports children to learn vital skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration and innovation along with essential technology skill sets.
Story Led
We were inspired by Gijubhai Badheka’ pedagogy of teaching through stories as stories develop H.O.T.S (HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS). A story lead curriculum begins with a story and then explores the related concepts like colours, shapes, animals, food, environment in the story. This helps children’s learning move from known to unknown, simple to complex, concrete to abstract.
Spiral Integration
Jerome Bruner’s spiral approach in the curriculum means to start from basic and then goes into details, revisiting pre learnt ideas and expanding on them. In this way we would ensure connection and continuity as children would learn one concept several times with increasing complexity.
